Tips from Shannon Kaye:
Accent Rectangles

It is amazing what a can of paint and a little imagination can do to complete change the feel of your room. For example, why paint an accent wall when you can paint an accent rectangle. It is quick, easy and it really makes your artwork look great. Choose a color from your furniture, an accent color or even the art work itself.
Step 1: Pencil your rectangle on the wall using a tape measure and a level. Apply tape carefully.
Step 2: To ensure a clean line paint line with no bleeding, I apply a thin coat of varnish at the tape’s edge.
Step 3: Let the varnish dry and paint in your rectangle. Let paint dry and pull off the tape.
